Cary’s Microgrid Labs, provider of electrification and microgrid software, raises $2.25M


CARY – The software and consulting company Microgrid Labs, which specializes in electrification and microgrids, has raised more than $2.25 million in funding from three investors, according to an SEC filing.

The company, which lists locations in the Triangle, California, and Colorado on its website, provides services that it says “range from initial assessment, feasibility studies, modeling, simulation and optimization to support during implementation and operations phase.”

The website states that the company assists clients in fleet electrification planning, microgrid planning, and software modeling.

The firm raised $2,250,030 in equity, according to the filing.  The company participated in the 2019 Shell GameChanger™ Accelerator Powered by NREL (GCxN), according to a statement published by GCxN.

Another Triangle-area firm was selected by GCxN to participate in the 2021 accelerator program, Induction Food Systems, which WRAL TechWire reported in December.
