NORTH CAROLINA – Here’s our exclusive wrapup of upcoming events happening across North Carolina in December.  Included are the latest meetups, conferences, workshops, application deadlines, and networking events happening in Asheville, Charlotte, the Triad, Wilmington, and other parts of the state.  The Triangle’s event calendar is available in a corresponding WRAL TechWire publication here.

Many events will be held in person, as some organizers are returning to live events. Others will be held virtually, and are noted as such.

RIoT Wilson Pre-Accelerator Program

RIoT is launching a new, six-week business coaching resource for small business owners, startup founders, and prospective entrepreneurs in the Wilson community. Running from Nov. 8 to Dec. 13, the event will include three 90-minute workshops and three one-hour advising sessions.

Asheville Chamber’s annual Metro Economy Outlook features presentations by economists and leading experts in the field. The event will also include a holiday lunch to close out the year.

For its Flash Grant program, the North Carolina Biotech Center is on the lookout for innovative high-potential life science technology ideas. Up to $20,000 may be requested.
