Mooresville startup Sheets Laundry Club cleans up on 'Shark Tank,' winning investment

MOORESVILLE – Sheets Laundry Club secured $500,000 from “guest shark” Daniel Lubetzky, the founder of KIND Snacks and SOMO Foods, in an appearance on the television show “Shark Tank.”

The Charlotte Observer reported terms of the deal, noting that the co-founders secured the investment from Lubetzky in return for 8% ownership of the company and 2% in advisory shares.

The company is currently offering a discount code tied to the television program, SHARKTANK15.

One of the company’s products is a laundry detergent sheet, which the company describes on its website as “pre-measured, dehydrated sheets of detergent that dissolve instantly in the wash.”

The company notes on its website that its products are more environmentally-friendly than existing detergents because “sheets get rid of the plastic and commonly found harsh chemicals used in mainstream detergent.”

It offers other products as well.

The Business Journals also reported on the company’s appearance on Shark Tank.
