CHAPE HILL – Join us on Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2021 from 11 a.m. to 12:40 p.m. EST for Demystifying Blockchain & Cryptocurrency. This webinar, which provides 2.0 CPE credits, is the fourth in a series of tax policy webcasts jointly hosted by the Kenan Institute-affiliated UNC Tax Center and the AICPA. It will feature panelists from practice and academia who will help unravel the mysteries of blockchain and its practical implications on accounting and business by providing the following:

  • An explanation of blockchain technology
  • An overview of the purpose and use cases for blockchain technology, including cryptocurrencies, triple entry accounting and smart contracts
  • A discussion of the current regulatory environment for cryptocurrency and an explanation of related obstacles and benefits to its growing use
