Bars Open During the Day in Downtown Raleigh

Daytime bars for client meetups and tourist tipples

No. 1 Most Livable City. Best City for Business. These are two huge recent accolades Raleigh nabbed—beating out all other cities on the national stage.

But riddle us this. When you roll into NYC or Atlanta or Chicago or New Orleans on a weekday afternoon, ther is no shortage of bars (read: cocktail havens, not restaurant bars or breweries) to grab a swill.

Or if you are a denizen of one of these populous metropolises—do you not have a plethora of hot spots to cherry-pick where to meet that late afternoon client pre-5pm so you can still get home to the fam?

So, that got us thinking. In a city on the rise like Raleigh, why does 3pm feel like the witching hour? There are now 100+ places to get your lunch on in DTR (👏)—now we need the “unofficial happy hour” hosts.

Here, we amassed the short list of sip spots for tourists or clients—the sheer publication of which we hope will inspire more to join.
